FAQ

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The page numbers are written into the PDF inside your browser; the file never leaves your device.

How do I skip the cover page?

Enter "2-" as the page range so the cover gets no number. If page 2 should show "2" (counting the cover), also set the start number to 2.

How is N in "1 / N" calculated?

N is the last page number: start number + number of numbered pages − 1. For a 10-page file with range "2-" and start 1, the labels run from 1 / 9 to 9 / 9.

Do Chinese, Japanese or Korean labels display correctly?

Yes. Labels with only digits and Latin letters are written as real text in a standard font; labels with CJK characters are rendered with your device font into a sharp image, so they display correctly in every PDF viewer.

What about landscape or rotated pages?

Numbers are placed relative to how the page is displayed, so "bottom center" on a landscape page is the bottom center when viewed sideways.

Can I number a password-protected PDF?

No. Remove the password first with Unlock PDF, then add page numbers.
