FAQ

Is my HTML uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs in your browser and your content never leaves your device.

Which tags are supported?

h1–h6, p, ul/ol/li, a, img, table, pre/code, blockquote, strong/em, del, br, hr and more. script, style, iframe and form controls are ignored; other tags keep only their text.

Is the pasted HTML executed?

No. The HTML is only parsed into a document structure: scripts do not run and external resources such as images are not loaded.

Why are there backslashes in the result?

Characters like *, _ and # have special meaning in Markdown, so they are escaped with a backslash to make them display exactly as in the original.

Are there size limits?

Up to 1,000,000 characters; files you open can be up to 8 MB.
