Is my image uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, and the original image never leaves your device.
Pixelate or blur: which should I use to hide text?
Pixelate (mosaic) splits the area into blocks and fills each with its average color, so the original pixels are gone and can't be recovered. Use it for phone numbers, addresses and ID numbers. Blur only softens the image; large text or a low strength may still be readable, which is why pixelate is the default.
What does strength do?
It sets the block size (or how strong the blur is). Blocks grow automatically with the area and the image size. Around a line of text, blocks are close to the text height, and even small areas get a minimum block size that makes them unreadable. Higher means stronger; the default is 60.
Can I hide several areas?
Yes. Drag on an empty part of the image to add an area, up to 50. Tap an area to select it, then move it or drag a corner to resize; remove it with “Remove selected” or the Delete key. You can also use “Add area”.
Does the saved image keep camera or location data?
No. The image is re-encoded with no EXIF, GPS location, camera model or other metadata. The format is kept: JPG stays JPG (quality 92%), PNG and WebP stay the same, other formats become PNG.
